Sometimes there are people you connect with and sometimes it is difficult to connect with people. There are always socio-cultural, opinionated and most often it is the language restrictions everytime you wish to connect with people around the world. Except for me, I believe the reason I could connect with people who I couldn't connect with earlier is because of Mme. Amrita. To learn a language is different, but to use it to connect with crowds is a whole another thing. And that is what Mme Amrita helps you out with: CONNECTING with people and new cultures. I have been her student for almost 7-8 years and the way she taught me how to communicate and connect with people using a whole new language is unreal. I started learning french in school, it was a compulsion to learn a language other than English and Hindi as a part of the Indian Education System. Since French was a whole new language, I was scared of it initially, up until Mme. Amrita eased it so much for me that I continued to train in it even after 10th grade. It was all because of her guidance and perseverance that I was able to give exams externally and gain qualifications in the language from Alliance Francais. Even now, at my college, it is compulsory to take up a third language and qualify in it for graduation. And I am proud to say that I have taken French again and have been reliving the beautiful culture again. The greatest gratitude to Mme. Amrita for helping me fall in love with the language and connect to people on a whole other level.

“Bonjour! Je m’appelle Niharika” - Hi! My name is Niharika - is all the French I knew when I started out at Linguistic planet with Amrita ma’am. After my first class, I knew French was going to become something special for me and it did. Learning a new language can be intimidating but I went from a person scared of French to a person who fell in love with the language; that’s what Amrita ma’am can do for you. French became an escape instead of a task…we listened to french songs and we weren’t allowed to speak in English or Hindi in class…and honestly these little things made us all more confident as we spoke french. It has been almost 6 years learning French with her now and I’ve only wanted to learn more. Even when you might struggle at first and lose patience…she won’t give up on you, she’ll always push you to be the best. I’ve been taught French by others but I’m proud to say that no one puts efforts with their students like she does…it’s not just about how well you do in examinations here but about how much you enjoy learning French. C’est un morceau de gateau avec elle et un régal en plus. (It’s a price of cake with her and a treat at that ;) My experience at linguistic planet is something that I’ll always carry with myself, whatever I do and wherever I go. Niharika Soni
